Khaidi: Karthi bows to the audience

A week after the release of ‘Khaidi’, Karthi took it to social media to express his gratitude to the audiences for making the movie a huge success. He is elated with the great response the action thriller is generating in Tamilnadu and Telugu states. “I take a big bow with a heartful of gratitude,” he tweeted. He also mentioned that he didn’t expect such an overwhelming response.

‘Khaidi’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraju hit the screens on October 25. Given the fact that Karthi’s previous movies bombed at the box-office, this thriller didn’t carry many expectations and its Telugu rights were bought for mere Rs 4 Cr. Now, the movie has grossed Rs 10 Cr. Return on investment is huge. This has brought Karthi back on track in the Telugu market.

The film also won appreciation from several celebrities. Superstar Mahesh Babu heaped praise on the movie. Karthi also announced a sequel to this film which is expected to start rolling next year.
