Mahanati: Naga Chaitanya says yes to ANR's role

Naga Chaitanya will be playing the role of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Mahanati’ the biopic of Savitri.

Director Nag Ashwin and producer Ashwini Dutt have been trying to convince NTR Jr and Naga Chaitanya to essay the roles of NT Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao as they are grandsons of the legendary actors respectively. Naga Chaitanya has finally given his nod to reprise his grand father on screen. But NTR made it clear that he will not be doing the film during the promotions of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’. NTR Jr is currently in Los Angeles involving in the test shoot of Rajamouli’s next multi-starrer.

‘Mahanati’ has stellar star cast with Keerthy Suresh in titular role. Samantha, Dulquer Salman, Vijay Devarakonda will be seen in other iconic actors of that period. Mohan Babu will be reprising another legend SV Ranga Rao.
