Mahanati readying up for May 9 release

'Mahanati', the biopic on legendary actress Savitri, will be releasing on May 9. The film is produced jointly by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema and is directed by Nag Ashwin. It will be dedicated to Sridevi who died recently. May 9 is the release date of Chiranjeevi and Sridevi’s blockbuster 'Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari', which was produced by Vyjayanthi Movies in 1990.  The film is in final production phase canning few important scenes. Keerthy Suresh is essaying the role of Savitri.

The film also has Samantha, Dulquer Salman, Vijay Devarakonda, Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Shalini Pandey, Malavika Nair, Bhanu Priya, Divya Vani, Srinivas Avasarala, directors Krish, Tharun Bhascker and other popular names including that of Naga Chaitanya playing the iconic ANR’s role.
