Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education Ganta Srinivasa Rao's son Ganta Ravi is debuting as lead actor in senior director Jayanth C Paranji's movie. The cop drama has been titled 'Jayadev'. Ashok Kumar is producing the movie. 

Jayanth who directed many hits like 'Preminchukundam Raa', 'Lakshmi Narasimha' and 'Shankardada MBBS' has returned to movie direction after a gap. "We introduced Prabhas as hero in 'Eeshwar'. And now we are introducing Ganta Ravi. I am confident that Ravi will also be established a good star," Jayanth said. 

"We have shot the film in various locations in and around Hyderabad and have completed major part. An item song will be filmed soon. A huge set is being erected for this song," producer Ashok Kumar said.
