Director A R Murugadoss is not happy with the National Awards for year 2016. He said the jury is biased. He accused some of the jury members showed partiality. "#NationalAwards Can clearly witness the influence & partiality of people in jury, it's biased," he tweeted.

It is not clear as to why he was disappointed with the awards. He didn't direct or produce any film in year 2016 other than Sonakshi Sinha starrer 'Akira', which is remake movie.

The director is currently shooting Mahesh Babu starrer 'Spyder' in Telugu and the movie is expected to hit the screens on 23rd June.
