Nagarjuna puts Bangarrarju on hold

Nagarjuna is going through a bad phase. His recent film ‘Manmadhudu 2’ tanked at the box-office. Before that, his multi-starrer with Nani ‘Devadas’ didn’t yield the required results. Preceding this, RGV’s ‘Officer’ turned out to be a shameful disaster. ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ was also a box-office failure. There is no major success he has seen in the last three years.

With such a low phase, Nagarjuna is in dilemma as to what films should he take up. Though he still looks like a 40-year-old guy, people are not accepting him playing romantic roles. He cannot perform heavy-duty action stunts that leave him out of mass action entertainers.

He has limited options. He has been trying to launch a sequel to his hit movie ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ but it has been facing one problem or the other. Titled ‘Bangarrarju’, the film will be directed by Kalyan Krishna whose previous film ‘Nela Ticket’ was a disaster.

This sequel was to be launched next month but now Nagarjuna has put it on hold for some months.
