Nayanthara takes up deeksha with fiance

Nayanthara took a special deeksha before commencing the shoot for a mythological movie. She has begun the shoot of a Tamil movie named ‘Mookuthi Amman’, in which she is playing the role of a goddess. Nayanthara vowed to take deeksha during the entire shoot of this movie and abstain from eating non-veg.

Along with her fiancé Vignesh Sivan she did special pooja at Bhagavathi Amman Temple in Kanyakumari And at Lord Murugan Temple. The film is being directed by RJ Balaji.

A born Christian, Nayanthara converted into the Hindu religion some years ago.
