It was reported that Anushka is obstructing the release of ‘Nishabdham’. According to these reports, producers were in talks with OTT platforms to sell the movie’s rights but Anushka is not okay with the idea of releasing the movie on digital space instead of theaters. But the makers had categorically denied the rumors. 

“From the day one of the shoot to date, our stars and technicians have been pillars of support to us through good and bad times, especially Anushka Shetty garu. Please do not believe in any baseless rumors you come across,” the makers clarified in a tweet. 

‘Nishabdham’ is directed by Hemanth Madhukar and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. Kona Venkat is presenting the movie. The thriller was to release on April 2nd but its release was put on hold due to the lockdown period. 

OTT platforms have approached all producers asking them to release the movies on their platforms in these troubled times instead of waiting for theaters to open.
