NTR as ambassador for IPL Telugu content

NTR will not be hosting ‘Bigg Boss’ season 2 but he will continue his association with Star Group. He has agreed to be brand ambassador for IPL 2018 for Star group.

Star Group owns rights of Indian Premiere League (IPL) for next five years. This year, Star is putting focus on localization to increase the base. They will be airing the IPL in Telugu with Telugu commentary, Telugu text graphics, etc.

NTR’s mass base and his popularity among the TV audience will help the channel penetrate into the market further with IPL Telugu content. A formal announcement will happen soon. He had hosted ‘Bigg Boss’ for Star Group which was a roaring success. But he will not be hosting for the second season as he will be busy shooting for Trivikram’s movie and Rajamouli’s multi-starrer ‘RRR’ back-to-back.
