Despite delivering a massive hit with ‘Geetha Govindam’, director Parasuram couldn’t convince any top star with his new script. He waited to get confirmation from Mahesh Babu for more than a year and has finally given up hopes. He will now be directing another romantic star with a medium budget. This time he will direct Akhil Akkineni who has not tasted a single hit so far.

‘Geetha Govindam’ was Parasuram’s biggest hit that collected nearly Rs 70 Cr worldwide. But he has no luck of getting a nod from top stars. 

Akhil Akkineni is currently shooting for director Bommarillu Bhaskar’s film.
