B Nagireddy Memorial award went to 'Pelli Choopulu' for the year 2016. Producer Raj Kandukuri would be honoured with this award. B Venkatrama Reddy son of B Nagireddy has been presenting awards for the last six years. 

B Nagireddy, one of the greatest film producers of Telugu Cinema, produced many classics on Vijaya banner. 'Pelli Choopulu' won many accolades and became a hit. The movie was a love story told with modern sensibilities. Directed by Tarun Bhaskar, the movie starred Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma.
