Posani rejects Nandi, adds fuel to controversy

Nandi Awards controversy does not seem to end. The awards were announced on 14th November but even today the topic remains as burning topic with each passing day one celebrity or the other attacking the awards and the government. The latest salvo came from firebrand actor Posani Krishna Murali as the actor said he is rejecting the award that was announced for him as Best Supporting Actor for 'Temper'.
Posani enraged with AP Minister Lokesh's comments that Tollywood celebrities who do not have voter ID or Aadhar card in Andhra Pradesh are criticising the AP government prettily sitting in Telangana's Hyderabad. To this, Posani objected strongly: "Mr. Lokesh, you should know that Hyderabad remains common capital city for both AP and Telangana till 2024 but you and your father left Hyderabad due to certain reasons. And you are questioning us. To question the government's injustices, should one have Aadhar Card or Voter Id?"
Posani said he is born and brought up in Andhra and he doesn't need s certificate of birth from Mr. Lokesh. Posani rejected the Nandi award on the grounds that people would now perceive that he got this award because he belongs to the same caste of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Posani also demanded that these awards be scrapped and put a new committee to select the eligible winners.
