Pratap Arts K Raghava passes away
Veteran producer K Raghava, popularly known as Pratap Arts Raghava, is no more. He breathed his last this morning at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. He was 106. Born in Kotipally in West Godavari district in 1913, he started his career as ‘Trolly Puller’ in East India film company in Calcutta at young age and went on to become production manager and became producer.
He produced “Jagat Kiladilu”, “Jagat Jentrilu”, “Tatha Manavadu”, “Turupu Padamara”, “Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya”, “Tarangini”, etc. Legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao was introduced by K Raghava with “Thatha Manavadu”. Some of other great talents got introduced to Tollywood from his production house are director Kodi Ramakrishna and lyric writer Raja Shree.
He was survived by a daughter and a son.
