Comedian Prudhvi Raj, popularly known as 30-years-industry Prudhvi, is the new chairman of SVB channel, a devotional TV channel run by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasathanam (TTD). The post was until now held by veteran director K Raghavendra Rao. 

After the Telugu Desam party lost in the recent elections, K Raghavendra Rao had resigned to his post and the new government headed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed Prudhvi as its new chairperson. Prudhvi was given this post as he supported YS Jagan’s party for a long time. 

But Prudhvi has been making strong comments on Tollywood biggies. He said that no big actor, director, and producer congratulated YS Jagan after he became the Chief Minister, whereas the entire industry made a beeline to Vijayawada when Chandrababu Naidu was CM. Furthermore, Prudhvi made allegations that he would ask officials to probe the financial irregularities that happened during K Raghavendra Rao’s tenure.
