Superstar Rajinikanth could not even take part in the promotions for his film 'Kabali' as he fell ill. He was shooting simultaneously for Shankar's '2.0'. Rajini went to USA for treatment and the shoot of film '2.0' was stalled. This happened three months ago and Rajini is back in India. He did not join the shooting immediately despite being cured completely. He wanted some more rest. The latest about this film is that the shooting of this film will commence from the 23rd of September. 

Shankar's next magnum opus '2.0', the sequel of 'Robot' stars Amy Jackson as the leading lady while Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist role. A R Rahman will give the music for this film.
