Is Superstar Rajinikanth going to be the president of India? Political buzz is that his name is being considered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rajinikanth is maintaining a silence over his name being projected as the next President of India.

Recently, Supreme Court ruled that veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Union Minister Uma Bharati would stand trial for criminal conspiracy in Babri Masjid demolition case. Now BJP has dropped off Advani and Joshi's names for President's chair.

There were also rumors that Modi may suggest the name of Draupadi Murmu, current governor of Jharkhand state, for President's post. But currently Rajinikanth's name is being talked about. Clarity will emerge in a month.

On the other hand, Rajinikanth is planning to launch a movie in the direction Ranjith of 'Kabaali' fame in May. His son-in-law Dhanush will be producing it.
