Rajini's 2.0 on 2019 Republic Day

Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ has flopped in Telugu. But the film is performing on strong note in Tamilnadu and in Australia. Meanwhile, his other film, ‘2.0’ has got new release date. The graphical extravaganza being directed by master director Shanker will release on 2019 Republic day.

The film is getting delayed due to delay in VFX work. It was to release this Deepavali. Since Aamir Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindustan’ is releasing on Deepavali and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ is hitting on Christmas, the makers of ‘2.0’ have zeroed in on Republic Day holiday period.

‘2.0’ that is being made on massive scale with estimated Rs 300 Cr budget is the most-eagerly awaited movie. Rajinikanth’s fans are confident that Shankar’s magnum opus will put an end to the flop streak for the superstar. They have delivered two blockbusters – ‘Shivaji’ and ‘Robo’- together in the past.
