Amidst rumors that ‘RRR’ might be postponed again, here is an update. Sources close to Rajamouli inform us that the top director is trying to stick to the original date of ‘RRR’. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on Jan 08, 2021.

Although work on his film has been stalled due to lockdown, he is chalking out a plan on how to wrap the movie’s shoot in time. He is expecting that the shootings would be allowed in May. The latest reports say the government will extend the lockdown period till April 31st. Even after easing off the lockdown, mass gatherings will not be allowed for some more time. Rajamouli and his team believe that they can resume shooting from May 15th.

The only challenge for him is to get the dates of Alia Bhatt. So far, she has not joined the shoot. If he gets her call sheets in June/July, he can wrap up the entire shoot in time.

‘RRR’ features NTR and Ram Charan as the freedom warriors Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seeta Ramaraju respectively. Produced by DVV Danayya, ‘RRR’ is set for simultaneous release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
