The much awaited engagement of Tollywood happened this evening (Sunday, Jan 29). Samantha got engaged to Naga Chaitanya at the N Banyan Convention at Madhapur in Hyderabad. The hottest couple of Tollywood will marry sometime during the middle of 2017. Only family and friends were present. It was relatively low-key family celebration. Celebrities from Tollywood were not invited.

It was a festive occasion for the Akkineni family. Recently Chaitanya's younger brother Akhil got engaged to Shriya. Both Akhil and Shriya were present too.

Although, it was low-key affair, decorations were top notch, with stylists and decorators flown in from Mumbai. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have been in love for the past the two years. Samantha's debut film was opposite Naga Chaitanya in 'Ye Maaya Chesave' but she fell in love with him during the shoot of 'Autonagar Surya'.
