Sankranthi 2018: Powerstar vs Mahesh Babu

It is certain that 2018 pongal will see the direct competition between Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Superstar Mahesh Babu. Pawan Kalyan's current film that is tentatively being referred as PK25 has locked Sankranthi 2018 as its release date. Till the other day, the makers were hoping to release it in Dussera but it has now been pushed to Sankranthi for a reason.
 
After a long time, Pawan Kalyan will be in the race of Pongal/New Year. The untitled romantic entertainer is being directed by Trivikram.
 
On the other hand, we all know that Mahesh Babu - director Koratala Siva's 'Bharath Ane Nenu' is scheduled for 11 January 2018 release. The movie is already under progress. So, it will be compete with Pawan Kalyan's 25th film. Last they competed with each others films was some ten years ago. It will be clash of the titans.
 
But Sankranthi season can afford three big releases. This year, Megastar's 'Khaidi No 150', Balakrishna's 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni' competed with each other and both films turned out to be hits. Also another small film 'Satamanam Bhavathi' that released during the same time also became blockbuster. So, fans of Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu have nothing to worry.
