Hours after the makers of ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ confirmed their movie’s release date, Mahesh Babu has announced the release date of his upcoming Sankranthi release ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’. Mahesh Babu’s entertainer will also release on the same day - Jan 12, 2020. So, both movies are taking each other head-on.

‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ is being directed by Anil Ravipudi of ‘F2’ fame. It is going to be a hilarious entertainer, says the director. Mahesh Babu will be seen in the role of Ajay Krishna, a military major. Set in the backdrop of Kurnool city, ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ is produced by Anil Sunkara and Dil Raju. Mahesh Babu is also a co-producer.

The masala entertainer has Rashmika Mandanna playing Mahesh’s heroine. Vijayashanti is making a comeback in a pivotal role. This is her first film in the last 14 years. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music.
