This is the season of biopics in Indian cinema. 'Sanju', biopic on Sanjay Dutt, did wonders at box-office. Even in Tollywood, several biopics are being made. NTR's Biopic is in full-swing. Now, a film based on the life of Shakeela is set to be filmed.

Bollywood acress Richa Chadha will be playing the role of Shakeela. The biopic is being directed by Indrajit Lankesh. Richa will begin shooting for the film in August.

Shakeela as adult-star ruled the Malayalam film industry for many years and later did character roles in Tollywood. She is Telugu woman but became popular in Malayalam industry.
