Shankar and Kamal Haasan's Bharateeyudu 2

The iconic blockbuster ‘Bharateeyudu’ aka ‘Indian’ is all set to have its sequel next year. Director Shankar and Kamal Haasan have teamed up again to make sequel to their 1996 blockbuster. 20 years after its release, Shankar and Kamal are able to crack an idea for the sequel.

‘Bharateeyudu’ in which Kamal played the dual role was a sensation when it hit the screens. The film focused on the corruption in Indian system. The sequel is likely to be focused on current political mess. Shankar who is currently busy with the post-production of Rajinikanth starrer ‘2.0’ is said to have completed the script for ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ and the film will be produced by our Tollywood leading producer Dil Raju. It will be filmed in both Tamil and Telugu languages but it will also be dubbed into Hindi and Malayalam languages as well.

Dil Raju will produce it in all languages on his Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner. Dil Raju has been trying to produce a lavish movie that appeals to pan-Indian audience. He has finally clinched this deal. An official announcement will be made shortly.
