Sharmila lodges complaint over Prabhas link-up

Sharmila, the sister of YSRCP leader YS Jagan, has alleged that certain individuals are spreading the false rumour that she has had an affair with 'Baahubali' actor Prabhas. She says that Telugu Desam party is behind this cheap rumor-mongering. On Monday (Jan 14, 2019), she has lodged complaint to commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.

"They spread the falsehood against me before the 2014 elections. The rumours stopped for some years. They are surfacing again at a time when elections are coming. This is deliberate. I have urged the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police to take action against those indulging in online propaganda against me. Some political leaders are there behind all this. It's me today. It will be some other woman tomorrow. I don't have to prove my honesty to anyone. I have never even spoken with Prabhas, never met him. I swear on my children that I have no relationship with Prabhas," Sharmila said.

Sharmila is also leader of YSRC party that is the main opposition party in Andhra Pradesh. Sharmila, a mother of two. has been lying low in politics from the past couple of years. When similar gossip came, both Sharmila and Prabhas had denied the reports in press statements.

"Can the rumour-mongers prove their allegations with evidence? Nobody can assassinate a character. Are they not ashamed to stoop to this level? I have proofs that TDP is behind this conspiracy. Such rumours were heard about YSR garu and Jagan as well. Will Chandrababu Naidu condemn the rumours about me?  He is encouraging them. Is it that only their women have self-respect and we have none? This is the zenith of Chandrababu's cheap politics. I have no faith in AP police. I request Cyberabad Police to act against the offenders," she added.
