Sharwanand and Samantha's film titled Jaanu

The Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster nostalgic romantic drama ‘96’ has been titled ‘Jaanu’. Along with the announcement of the title, the first look was unveiled today. Sharwanand and Samantha are reprising the roles that were originally played by Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha. 

The title poster depicts Sharwanand traveling through a desert as a tourist.

Director Prem Kumar and music composer Govind Vasantha, who worked for the original, have come onboard for the Telugu version as well. Set for release shortly, this romantic drama would be the first release for both Sharwanand and Samantha in 2020. 

Produced by Dil Raju’s production house, the movie has completed its production formalities long back.
