Speculations are rife over NTR Jr's political plans

NTR Jr's father-in-law Narne Srinivasa Rao today met Andhra Pradesh's opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad. This is a surprising development that will have political ramifications.

Although NTR Jr has made it clear on several occasions that he will always support Telugu Desam party, he is now distancing himself from politics.

He also doesn't enjoy good relations with TDP Supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu. But he still is considered as TDP member since the party is founded by his grandfather late NT Rama Rao. Narne Srinivasa Rao, who is businessman with interests in real estate and mines, meeting YS Jagan ahead of Andhra Pradesh assembly polls, is prompting speculations that NTR Jr may lend his support to YS Jagan this time. Narne Srinivasa Rao, however, said his meeting with Jagan was a courtesy call.

NTR Jr's close friend and producer Nani is MLA from Gudiwada from Jagan's party.

NTR Jr has already made it clear that he will not enter into active politics at this moment, nor he is willing to campaign for any party. He didn't campaign for his sister Nandamuri Suhasini when she fielded as TDP candidate from Kukatpally in the recent Telangana Assembly polls.

He wants to focus on his acting career. In 2009, he did campaign for TDP in assembly polls. Since then, he has been staying away from politics and solely focussing on his acting career. He is too young to think about plunging into active politics and he has great acting career ahead.
