Srinivasa Kalyanam: Soulful album from Mickey J Meyer

Kalyanam Vaibhogam
The title song of Shatamanam Bhavati carried the theme of the film till the end. Same is the case with Kalyanam Vaibhogam as derives the whole essence of marriage. One cannot stop praising the lyrics which speak about Telugu culture, heritage and how important the institution of marriage is. This song will be played in probably every wedding functions from now on as SPB's voice gives a sense of satisfaction when he explains to you the importance of wedding through his legendary voice.
Yekkada Nuvvunte
Intro songs are a must for our heroes and Yekkada Nuvvunte is no different. A college based youthful number which reveals what you can do if you have self-belief and confidence. The tune to the music, nothing works for this song as it is the one which might reveal the characterization of Nithin in the film. Routine stuff.
Ithadena Ithadena
Shreya Ghoshal is the queen of melodies and she is in her elements with her terrific singing in Ithadene. The song is filled with fantasy elements and smooth flow of lyrics provoke cute romance between the couple. The song is well balanced and has all those precious moments which a girl longs for when she knows the one she has chosen is the right person. Such a good melody this is.
Modeledadam
Nithin and Raashi Khanna are in love and this is shown through Modeledadam. The tune is so full of heart and Sunita takes things a notch higher with experienced singing. The way Mickey takes a routine tune and makes it feels so good on the ears is where the song ticks and the charismatic and young lyrics are only an added bonus for the listeners.
Something Something Ga
Intentionally, Mickey J Meyer has tried to keep the youthful genre going with a song here and there and this party number Something Something is one of them. Same like Yekkada Nuvvante, there is not much to talk about the song which comes in the narrative and takes the film forward. A boring number this is.
Vinavamma Turupu Chukka
The song has the serenity of the Godavari region and is filled with a festive atmosphere which talks about several marriage events. The sounding is so earthy and has the typical old-school charm which the elder generation will connect to. Such songs will be an eye feast for the audience as they are filled with authenticity and praise our tradition.
Bottom Line
The music of Sreenivasa Kalyanam is like a breather in this heavy pollution of western music. The songs in the album elevate the culture, provoke beautiful romance and are vibrant. Except for the two youthful numbers Something Something and Yekkada Nuvvunte, the album is filled with life and will be a pillar of strength for the film and its narrative. Impressive work by Mickey J Meyer.
