Sye Raa collects $850k from premieres

This a twist. While trade pundits were betting $1 million-plus premiere collection, ‘Sye Raa’ has scored a lot less at the USA box-office. The film collected $857K from North America. At one time it looked to easily cross $1 million mark but the movie has finally ended the day with $809k. 

While Chiranjeevi’s previous film ‘Khaidi No 150’ collected $1.29 million on premiere day, ‘Sye Raa’ did underperform. The film now stands at 8th position in the list of all-time highest-grossing Telugu movies from premiere shows.

Now that the word-of-mouth is good and reviews are also positive it should have a good run in the coming days. Directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan, ‘Sye Raa’ is Chiranjeevi's 151st film.
