Tarun has been inactive in acting field from long time. Though his long-in-the-making 'Idi Naa Love Story' released early this year, he has not acted in any movie in the last five years. However, his name is regularly appearing in news due to various controversies and issues. 

Last year, he appeared before Telangana Excise officials in a case related to drugs but he came out clean in the issue. Now, his name appeared in a section of media in connection with 'Bigg Boss 2'. 
 
However, Tarun says he is not doing the show that is to be hosted by Nani with 16 celebrities. 
 
In a statement, he said he is not a part of the show nor has he any intention or interest to be a part of it.
