Director Tharun Bhascker of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ and ‘Ee Nagariniki Emaindi’ has lodged a complaint with Cyberabad Police against two persons who have been defaming him online. According to him, two persons twisted the conversations they had with his line producer and made that they threatened them.

The director recently made some comments against the Telugu film industry and its workings on social media which didn’t go well with the film lovers.

Several Telugu film lovers had responded to his comments. Some of the comments apparently are not to his liking. Or it seems.

But this whole issue has a strange angle. Why should a director’s line-producer take phone numbers of the persons who post their opinions on social media?

Here’s the full letter of Tharun Bhascker’s complaint. Read on…..

To whom so ever it may concern,

For the past few days, a post that we had put up regarding films, in general, was distorted out of proportion on social media and was used to "troll" me and my team. In response to that, we had approached Cyber Crime Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) S.Harinath garu police official at Gachibowli, HYD, and made two phone calls to two twitter ids: namely Anudeep &Krishna Teja Chowdare. Anudeep's phone number was given by himself to my Line producer Sai & Krishna Teja Chowdare's we took from his public facebook profile contact info. We called them, politely spoke to them about how this issue was distorted and portray against us and also mentioned to them how trolling can affect an individual. We also warned them that any abusive language, personal remarks here forth shall be taken seriously and we will make an official complaint to which they responded positively initially but chose to modify the conversation to look like a threat. We have submitted the phone conversations to the concerned officials which were made in their presence. We are attaching the official complaint for reference.
We are taking this seriously and will take action against every threat, phone call, defamation, false allegation posts, and messages.
