Demanding that decentralization of COVID19 cases, the medicos are continuing their protest at Gandhi Hospital. The junior doctors boycotted their elective and regular duties at all the COVID patient wards at Gandhi Hospital yesterday and the strike is continued.

There have been allegations that the Telangana government is conduction tests low and also centralized the COVID19 treatment at Gandhi hospital for the entire state which has put huge stress on the medical staff.

Social media has lent support to the medicos’ protests and Tollywood celebrities like Raashi Khanna, Nag Ashwin, Harish Shankar, and others have been posting videos and messages.

Raashi Khanna tweeted, “Underpaid, over stressed, overworked! These are difficult times for everyone but we need to respect and support our frontliners! I hope the concerned authorities come forward and help unload their burden!”

Nag Ashwin also asked Health minister Etela Rajender how long will the government continue with low testing. "Gandhi Hospital needs the sort of attention and funds that Hi-Tech city gets. Almost 100 days after COVID started, doctors are on the road in the rain, begging for help! PG fees increased this year!! Not fair! Testing testing..how much longer will we deny this?,” he questioned.

Director Deva Katta posted a medico’s video and said that this is the ground reality.

Venky Atluri said, "We should respect and support our frontline warriors. I hope the concerned officials protect the Doctors and allocate them a safe workplace." He used #SaveDoctorsSavesociety to drive home his point.
Harish Shankar tweeted, the “need of the hour” is the government to respond.
