Uppena aiming for Arya date

After the corona outbreak, producers are in big confusion in fixing new release dates. With an increasing number of positive cases, no one is sure about when would the normalcy return. ‘Uppena’ which was scheduled for April 2nd has now been postponed to May. The latest reports say the makers are looking to lock May 7th as the release date. 

Since the film is directed by Sukumar’s associate Buchi Babu, this date has sentimental value. Sukumar’s first movie ‘Arya’ starring Allu Arjun was released on the same day in 2004. Buchi Babu believes that this date will bring him luck as it did to his guru.

‘Uppena’ marks the debut of Panja Vaishnav Tej as the hero. He is the younger brother of Sai Dharam Tej. Kriti Shetty is debuting as the heroine.
