USA BO: Darbar crosses half-a-million mark

Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ has collected 492,801 dollars from premiere shows. This is not a big amount for a star like Rajinikanth but the US market for Indian films is undergoing a transition, with audiences are preferring watching new releases on Amazon Prime.

‘Darbar’ has collected 490k from premieres and with Thursday gross, the film has crossed half-a-million dollars mark. It will easily cross $1 million mark but the film will now face competition from Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’. From Saturday, it will also have to compete with Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’. 

Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ has received mixed reviews. While critics praised Rajinikanth’s style and performance, the final portion of the movie received criticism.
