Vennela Kishore, Man of the moment!

Over the years, comedians were an incredible part of Telugu films and each era had a legendary comedian leading the limelight. On the other hand, Telugu cinema is in a transition period these days as different movies are made and taste of the audience have changed in a big way.

The same old slapstick comedy and mass elements are not working any more. A new wave of comedians have paved their wave to the top and each one have their own identity and style of making people entertain. But one man who is a step ahead from all these is undoubtedly Vennela Kishore.
 
The recent release ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ has him playing the role of Chary. This is ordinary character but his comedy worked out well in this regular entertainer, observed critics. That is his magic now.
 
A well-educated graduate from the US who chose his passion over his software career to act in films in India and since then there has been no looking back.
 
The scene these days is in such a way that no films is made without Kishore. Special roles are being written for him and there is a roar whenever he appears on the screen.
 
Kishore got his first opportunity when he was working in the US. His role as Khader in the film ‘Vennela’ became a rage and character name in the film became his surname later in his career. Since the year 2006, he has worked in several films but his real break came when he acted opposite Mahesh Babu in ‘Dookudu’. Kishore and his comedy timing was a rage and this film became a turning point in his career and paved way to many more key roles which found him a new fan following.
 
One should notice that Vennela Kishore and his comedy is not slapstick and that is the best part. His expressions are hilarious and the way he uses the English language to superb pun and chaotic comedy makes him stand apart. But the thing which makes him even more popular is that his accessibility to his fans. He is very active on the social media and interacts with his fans making them happy all the while which many stars do.
 
Things have become so special that films like ‘Ami Thumi’ have become hits only because of Kishore and his stand out performances which have won him awards and accolades.
 
The last two years have been even more special as he has been part of hit films back to back. Films like ‘Mahanubhavudu’, ‘Chalo’, ‘Chi La Sow’, ‘Goodachari’, ‘Geetha Govindham’ and ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ have made him sit in the top position. Today, he is the most sought after and highly paid comedian in Tollywood and has his dates packed for the next two years or so.
 
Film makers are making a point that the star comedian is a part of their films at any cost and they are somehow etching a role for him in their projects.
 
It would be no exaggeration to say that Kishore has slowly filled the gap which was created by the absence of Brahmanandam. Even though his role is a blink and miss, Kishore is making sure that and has lives up to all the expectations in flying colours. The future looks set and with age on him, he is an asset to the Telugu film industry in every way.
