Vijay Deverakonda's first phase of movies end

Thursday, February 13, 2020 - 15:30

After the success of ‘Pelli Choopulu’, Vijay Deverakonda had signed three or four movies to make hay while the sun shone. Except ‘Arjun Reddy’, all bombed. After the massive success of ‘Arjun Reddy’, Vijay Deverakonda had signed some more movies but he didn’t expect that he would become a huge star and agreed movies that have high concepts but the low potential of commercial success.

Post ‘Geetha Govindam’, which remains his biggest hit to date, he couldn’t repeat the same magic. Though ‘Taxiwaala’ was a decent hit, the flops of ‘NOTA’ and ‘Dear Comrade’ put a comma to his steep rise. ‘World Famous Lover’ is also a film that he had signed before ‘Geetha Govindam’. This is the reason why he keeps on telling everyone that a phase has been ended and he is now entering into a new phase.

All the movies that he had signed after ‘Arjun Reddy’ have come into the screens. ‘World Famous Lover’ is the last of them. Whether it becomes or not, he will not think much about it. He is relieved that the old set of movies has finally come to an end.

His new phase begins with Puri Jagannadh’s action drama that is under progress. He has also signed Dil Raju’s production in the direction of Shiva Nirvana. These two films will fall under his new phase. He is more banking on these movies now.
