For Akhil's second film, Vikram Kumar is the director. The movie was to begin in January but it hasn't yet hit the floors as Nagarjuna didn't like the first script Vikram Kumar prepared. Now he has finalised another script that Nagarjuna impressed with.

But grapevine has it that Vikram Kumar is spending huge money for the pre-production work. Even before the muhurtham for movie launch is fixed, huge money has been spent by the director, say the source. Of course, all the expenditure is part of the pre-production!
 
While the producer Nagarjuna is worried on the production cost, he is also said to be happy that Vikram Kumar is coming up with best story and screenplay for his son.
 
Vikram Kumar who directed 'Ishq', 'Manam' and '24' will be presenting Akhil in a youthful love story. But the director wants to make the movie with best technicians and shoot it in exotic locations.
