Why did Manchu Manoj do Okkadu Migiladu?

Manchu Manoj will be seen in a serious role in his upcoming film 'Okkadu Migiladu'. Speaking about why he took up this film, the actor says that when he heard the script of the film he felt that it was a responsibility to do this movie. There is no romance or comedy here.

For this intense emotional drama, Manoj has to pile on weight. When he did that some of his old injuries recurred. He needed another two months to heal from this. 

The character that he essays in this film is partially influenced by LTTE chief Prabhakaran. After this film Manoj wants to take a break before moving to his next. There is an interesting project which will commence work in 2018 he says.
