'Winner' didn't get favourable reviews from the critics. It is aimed at B and C Center audiences and the story and treatment was very massy. While the movie starring Sai Dharam Tej and Rakul Preet Singh didn't win the overseas audiences, it performed well in India.
 
In its opening weekend, 'Winner' has collected more than Rs 10 cr. This is one of the biggest openings for hero Sai Dharam Tej. Maha Shivaratri festival and weekend has helped the movie getting such huge opening.
 
It remains to be seen how it would perform from today. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, 'Winner' has story by Veligonda Srinivas. It has music by S S Thaman and his 'O Sitara Sitara' song is topping the chartbusters.
