Writer Yaddanapudi passes away

Renowned Telugu novel writer Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani passed away. She died of cardiac arrest at her daughter’s residence Cupertino, California in USA. She was 79. Her daughter Sailaja has confirmed the news that Yaddanapudi breathed her last after suffering heart attack.
Yaddanapudi was famous for her Mills & Boon kind of novels in Telugu. She was prolific writer and her novels represented the aspirations and dreams of women in Andhra Pradesh in 1970s and 80’s. She had great fan following then. She wrote nearly 100 novels.
Many of her works were made into movies and Television serials. Trivikram’s recent blockbuster ‘A Aa’ (2016) was also based on her popular novel Meena.
