The trend of biopics is in full-swing in Tollywood. The regular shoot of ‘Yatra’, a biopic on late Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, has begun today. Malayalam legendary superstar Mammotty is playing the role of YSR, the charismatic former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh who bagged power after conducting pada yatra for nearly 1400 Kms across Andhra Pradesh in 2004.

Director Mahi Raghav Reddy is making this movie. Suhasini is likely to play the role of Sabita Indra Reddy. The film will be wrapped up in a single shoot schedule and it is likely to be released during Sankranthi festival.

Mammotty is returning to Telugu films after two decades.
