Tamil top star Vijay's new film is 'Mersal' that is being directed by 'Raja Rani' fame Atlee. The film is being dubbed into Telugu as 'Adirindhi'. Telugu producer Sharrath Marar is releasing it in association with Thendral Films.

The film has completed its entire shooting part. This is Vijay's 61st film. Sharat Marar says it is set for Deepavali release. Writer Vijayendra Prasad of 'Baahubali' fame has written the script. It will have audio launch pretty soon. A R Rehman has composed the music.
