Two statements that make Mahesh a different star

Sunday, September 17, 2017 - 18:00

Of all those things that Mahesh Babu said during pre-release event of 'SPYder', two of his remarks are remarkable. When he said that his fans are special (not just to him, but vis-a-vis fans of other heroes too) because they don't care about watching his bad movies, he sounded confident about 'SPYder'.

As an actor whose last film bombed at the BO, he has to sell his new movie in every way possible.  And the second statement pertains to his description of his directors as godly figures. "I regard my directors as my gods. This is the reason I got the opportunity to do an 'Athadu', a 'Pokiri', a 'Srimanthudu'. Working with AR Murugadoss has been a dream come true," he said.

For a superstar to say this with such humbleness is quite amazing. Being the son of a superstar, the Gattamaneni hero knows the value of writers and directors in shaping a career. He was acknowledging this fact recently.
