Syeraa Narasimha Reddy hits the floors

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s epic period drama ‘Syeraa Narasimha Reddy’ has begun its regular shoot this morning (Dec 6). Chiranjeevi and other artistes have joined the shoot that is progressing at a special set erected at Aluminium factory in Hyderabad.

Being directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan on Konidela Productions banner, the film is made with whopping Rs 200 cr budget in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. It will also be dubbed in Malayalam. The ensemble cast includes Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Kollywood’s Vijay Sethupathi and Sandalwood’s Sudeep. Nayanathara is the heroine of the movie. ‘Syeraa Narasimha Reddy’ narrates the first rebellion against British Raj led by Narasimha Reddy of ‘Uyyalavada fort’ in Kurnool district. He revolted against British officials a decade before the India’s Sepoy Movement.

Chiranjeevi who made comeback with ‘Khaidi No 150’ early this year underwent rigorous physical training to be fit for this role for the last three months. The 60-plus star will have to perform some strenuous action stunts for this role. The film is slated for 2019 release.
