Nani Vs Akhil: Big battle at USA

Nani is a big name in overseas market. He has delivered two, million-dollar movies this year with ‘Nenu Local’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’. His films routinely get minimum 700k dollars at the USA box-office. No wonder then that his upcoming movie ‘MCA’ has got 148 locations in USA for release, which is the highest number in Nani’s career.
Despite director Venu Sriram not being a big name, ‘MCA’ has got such big number of locations all because of brand Nani and brand Dil Raju. He is having a clear edge.
Yet, Nagarjuna is not deterred by this. He is releasing his son Akhil’s ‘Hello’ in a big way in USA and is promoting it aggressively. Akhil and Rana are also promoting in select USA theaters. Though Nagarjuna is big name in the USA market, Akhil is yet to score a hit. His previous movie ‘Akhil’ grossed mere 200k dollars, which was a dud. Director Vikram Kumar’s earlier movies ‘Manam’ and ‘24’ have joined the club of million-dollar movies. So, brand Vikram Kumar might fetch them good openings.
Nani has four movies in his kitty that have crossed million dollars: ‘Eega’, ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, ‘Nenu Local’, and ‘Ninnu Kori’. Even ‘Gentleman’ came close to the mark of one million dollars (910k dollars). Will he score another hit with this ‘MCA’?
Overall, this Christmas, Nani vs Akhil is an interesting battle to watch out for!
