Dull period at box-office in Tollywood

It has been a long time that Tollywood witnessed massive hit. In the last two months, Tollywood has seen only couple of average grossers, rest all turned out to be duds. Even though, November and December had seen heavy rush of releases, the success ratio is awfully low. The other day, nearly 13 movies hit the screens and the occupancy rate for those movies is in the range of 3 to 5 %.

With such low numbers, the theaters are calling off shows. Films like ‘Mental Madhilo’, ‘Malli Raava’ did fairly better recently, though it remains to be seen whether they can achieve break-even.

Now all eyes are on Nani’s ‘MCA’ and Akhil’s ‘Hello’, both these movies are red hot in the trade. Nani has been delivering hits and his movies get 100 percent openings. Akhil’s ‘Hello’ has generated great buzz.
