Yesteryears top actress Krishna Kumari is no more. She passed way on Wednesday morning at her residence. She was the leading actress in 1960’s and 1970’s and had acted with all top heroes of that generation like N.T.Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Dr. Rajkumar, Sivaji Ganesan, Kanta Rao and Jaggayya. Born in 1933, she started her career with movie Navvithe Navaratnalu in 1951.

Some of her popular movies are Pelli Kanuka, Dr Chakravarthy, Aggi Pidugu, Bandipotu, Bharya Bhartalu, Vagdanam, Kulagothralu, Gudi Gantalu etc. She had acted in nearly 150 movies in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada langauges.

With NTR, she had acted in 25 films. Theirs was hit pair in those times. With ANR too, she had paired in nearly 18 movies. In 1969, she married a Rajasthan businessman and shifted her base from Madras to Bangalore.
