Bharat Ane Nenu Music Review: Three songs are solid!

The last time Koratala Shiva and Mahesh teamed up for ‘Srimanthudu’, records were re-written in Tollywood. Now, yet again, the duo is back with their political potboiler ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is the man behind the music album which has gone viral now. Here is our review of the entire album. All the songs are written by Ramajogaiah  Sastry.

Bharat Ane Nenu

Devi kicks off the album with a hard-hitting and emotional title track Bharath Ane Nenu. This song is Mahesh's promise to his people that he will serve them better. The song is more like the pledge of a CM being incorporated into a tune. The theme is quite haunting and Devi makes use of Ramajogaiah  Sastry's lyrics in an impressive manner. This will be a visual montage number. “This is me.. for the people by the people” lines were composed in stylistic manner. This was already a chartbuster.

I Don't know

For this number, Devi goes Bollywood and brings in the talented Farhan Akhtar to croon this song. Well, Farhan lives up to all the hype and gives his energetic best. One cannot make out that this is his first Telugu song as he has sung this fun number with a lot of zest. Devi too makes the mood of the song light and the Tinglish lyrics nicely sit on the tune making this a very chirpy number.

Vachchadayo Saami

Every revolutionary and social kind of a film has that one song which takes the proceedings to another level and Ramajogaiah  Sastry makes Vachchadayo Saami that number in BAN which will change things big time. DSP has made the beats quite earthy and played it to the galleries. There is a certain emotion attached to this song and Kailash Kher takes it a notch higher with his high pitch voice. A festive number, this song will make fans put on their dancing shoes in the theatres.

Ide Kalalaa Vunnade

After composing the first three numbers in a spectacular manner, DSP goes old school and brings his routine tune for this song called Ide Kalalaa Vunnade. The only solace of this song is the efficient singing of heroine Andrea Jeremiah who tries hard to pump some energy into this otherwise below par song. Mahesh's glamour and some interesting visuals need to save this song on the screen.

O Vasumathi

Some songs don't get on to you when you listen to them in the first instance. Same is the situation of Vasumathi as this is a modern fusion number which has a decent tune. This song grows on you slowly and the Telugu rap that comes in between is quite fun. The lead singing pair saves the day for DSP by crooning this western number with a lot of hep.

Final Word:

DSP won a lot of accolades for his work in Rangasthalam as he composed some really earthy and well-made tunes. But for Bharath Ane Nenu he uses all his experience and makes an album which goes with the situations of the film. The first three songs, Bharath Ane Nenu, I don't Know, and Vachchadayyo Saami hit the right note and cater to its respective audience with ease. But the rest of the two songs do not live up to the hype and are just routine numbers which every album has. Having said that, DSP balances things nicely for Koratala and team as this album will surely elevate the mood of the film in a big way.
