Telangana congress leader Revanth Reddy makes wild allegation that state IT Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) influenced the makers of 'Bharat Ane Nenu' to name the protagonist on his name. Mahesh Babu has played the role of a young NRI from London becoming Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and his name is Bharat Ram in the film.
 
In real life, KTR also came down from USA to participate in Telangana agitation and later become a Minister in his father KCR's cabinet. KTR, the most dynamic and popular IT Minister in India, is also called Ram by his friends and close associates.
 
Revanth Reddy accuses that KTR asked the makers to change the protagonist's name from Bharat to Bharat Ram so that he could accrue mileage from the film. Revanth Reddy who served prison for some period in the Vote for Note case has been making wild allegations against Telangana CM and his son. But Mahesh Babu and director Koratala must be ruing that their names are dragged into political mudslinging.
