Senior actor and Telugu Desam MP Murali Mohan landed in controversy when he called Lord Venkateshwara as Venkanna Chowdhary at a public meet. Responding to the controversy, Murali Mohan apologized and said it was slip of the tongue. 
 
“I am not an idiot to attribute caste to gods. As I was sitting beside Gorantal Buchaiah Chowdhary and was talking to him all the while before I gave speech, his last name came into my speech. It was slip of the tongue,” he clarified.
 
Murali Mohan also said he doesn’t show like or dislike to any particular caste as he is not casteist guy.
