Every actor works for appreciation from the audience and awards are a small gift to these actors for their hard work and dedication towards their crafts. Award nights are a place where the film fraternity gets together and honors each other. But of late, these award shows have become a showoff and are held only to showcase it for the TV audience. The real talent is sidelined and only a selected and popular few win these so-called prestigious awards.

All the awardees know the result beforehand and only come to increase the TRP's of the event when it is telecast on TV. We get deeper and see what 'LIES behind these shows.

A lot goes into the making of these awards and what you see is not what the actual reality is. Young and happening stars are roped in to host the event and from their designer clothes to the stay, everything is looked after by the organizers. When it comes to organizing events outside the country, the setting is even bigger. Everyone in the industry is excited to attend these events as it is a paid vacation for them. The event holders pay big money to top stars to make their presence felt. Once these stars confirm their availability, the organizers contact big brands and corporate companies get involved.

Star are flown first class and given top luxury. Then, there are stars who perform at these events. All the performances are paid and the fee is fixed considering the star value of these actors. Some award functions even divide the remuneration ranging from the presence of the stars, walking on the red carpet, promoting a few brands and their own films during the awards night. Some of the top technicians in the business are roped in to make these events a grand gala affair. But the real truth is that everyone clearly knows how these awards operate but do not pay heed. They dress up to their best and manage to keep a straight face and get excited when their names are announced as the winner.

So, the next time you look at a starry award show, don't get too carried away as what 'LIES behind them is a perfect execution of a well-made plan where actors are once again forced to 'act' as if these awards mean everything to them.
